Computer Vision

Computer vision is a field of artificial intelligence where computers can “see” the world, analyze visual data and then make decisions from it or gain understanding about the environment and situation. Latest technology in Computer vision is now used in convenience stores, driverless car testing, daily medical diagnostics etc. At the AI lab we would focus on vision systems that are able to reason about the visual world potentially in business applications. Our research would include object detection, image parsing or human activity recognition, designing human-machine interaction paradigms to enable computer vision systems to effectively learn from and collaborate with humans.
